ThYck Troupe members Karen London and Tressa Thomas yet again performed with the astounding and anointed CHICAGO CHRISTIAN CHOIR for ABC 7's "Windy City Live" morning broadcast.

The incomparable Barbra Streisand has announced a small 2012 tour, and she made a special appearance at Chicago's United Center this October! The legendary diva was joined by smooth jazz trumpeter Chris Botti and the incredible crossover-classical trio Il Volo. It was a concert not soon forgotten!!! ThYck Troupe members KAREN LONDON and TRESSA THOMAS accompanied Mrs. Streisand onstage as part of the CHICAGO CHRISTIAN CHOIR, directed by Pastor Fredrick Wilson of The Temple of Glory International Church of Chicago, IL. THYCK TROUPE MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN 'DANGEROUS CURVES AHEAD' 2012!
Performance Company members Jessica Sanchez, A. Jene Young & Briggetta Ducre participated in a fantastic annual event, produced by Tamika Maria Price of A-Line Style Services, entitled "DANGEROUS CURVES AHEAD". The show was spectacular, the atmosphere was wonderful and all of the models on the runway were stunning!
Dangerous Curves Ahead is a one-of-a-kind event that takes place every spring since 2009 at Chicago's gorgeous Zhou B Art Center. DCA fights homelessness while embracing the beauty in all women, slim and plus size alike. A generous amount of event proceeds go to the A-line Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that offers free head-to-toe makeovers, life-enhancing workshops and other restorative services to mothers living in transitional housing facilities & shelters. CONGRATS to the DCA team for yet another wonderful event!

TTOC members were delighted and encouraged to spend the evening with Mr. Robert Townsend at the Grand Re-Opening of the ICE THEATER in Robert's old neighborhood of Lawndale, IL.
Robert gave a spectacular lecture that evening, as he encouraged everyone to boldly forge ahead in accomplishing their goals, and showed behind-the-scenes footage of many of his most popular films, including The Five Heartbeats, Carmen: A Hip-Hopera and Why We Laugh: Black Comedians on Black Comedy, just to name a few.
